About Us
MOCHNIK was founded in 1991.
Initially, the company’s core business was the distribution of glass, mirrors and patterned glass on the Polish market.

1972
Walter and Krystyna Mochnik begin their glassmaking business in Opole, at Sebastian Square. This marks the beginning of a family tradition based on craftsmanship, quality, and customer trust.

1978
The plant moved to a new location, adapted to serve Opole retail customers. (From the right: Walter Mochnik with his wife Krystyna, daughter Beata, and son Artur)

1991
Artur Mochnik starts his own business, focusing on the wholesale of glass and accessories related to the industry.

1994–1997
Operating in a rented production hall and offices at 12 Kępska Street in Opole.

1996
The purchase of the first plot of land at 6 Składowa Street in Opole, which became the foundation for the company's further development.

1997
As a result of the flood of the millennium, the premises of the headquarters on Dworska Street were destroyed, along with machines, a truck and commercial goods.

Late 1997
Relocation of operations to the newly built production hall and office at Składowa Street 6.

1998-1999
The purchase of a second plot of land along with the building and the completion of its renovation. Expansion of operations to include glass processing, which initiated an intensive period of investment.

1999
The first key technologies and machines were purchased: a TAMGLASS hardening furnace, an INTERMAC CNC machine, and a BOTTERO cutting table. Construction of Hall No. 2 began. The photo shows Artur Mochnik's son, Dawid, and, on the left, his daughter, Daria, and his wife, Grażyna.

Construction of hall no. 3 and launch of ceramic screen printing technology.

2004
Construction of Hall No. 4, intended for a finished goods warehouse. Establishment of the OPOLGLASS company and commencement of insulating glass production.

2005
Construction of Hall No. 5 – expansion of the JUMBO glass cutting tables and warehouse. Purchase of CNC and C-KANT grinders and a second hardening furnace.

2008
Construction of hall no. 6 and commissioning of the first glass painting line using COLORIMO water-based paints. Construction of hall no. 7, including commissioning of the process water treatment plant.

2011
Construction of hall no. 8 to introduce ESG and VSG glass with dimensions up to 2800 × 6000 mm, intended for modern architecture.

2015
Construction of Hall No. 9, enabling further expansion of production and storage capacity. Launch of the second COLORIMO line and new ceramic printing technology.

2020
Construction of hall no. 10, dedicated to the next stage of increasing COLORIMO glass production through the implementation of new cutting and grinding machines and a second complete process water treatment plant. Construction of hall no. 11, intended for warehousing and logistics purposes.

2025
Expansion of warehouse space and purchase of a second line for the production of insulating glass at OPOLGLASS.
